What You Need
Henley, C. Foundations of Neuroscience. Open Edition. (Free online text. Links to assigned readings will be provided each week).
Students will need access to a laptop or tablet (laptop recommended for exams) and access to reliable internet.
We will use Desire 2 Learn (D2L) for NEU 300.
D2L will be used for all course components, which includes:
- Scheduling and organizing of assignments (Problem Sets, Synthesis Questions, Learning Reflections, Exams)
- Unit checklists
- Distribution of all handouts (Learning Objectives, Case Studies)
- Answer videos
- Informal collaborative chat space with classmates
We will use Microsoft Word documents for assignments. Please make sure to have downloaded the Word version that is a part of the Office 365 suite of apps made available to all MSU students, staff, and faculty. I also recommend saving all documents to your Microsoft OneDrive space to avoid any loss of data due to computer issues.
The first week will be learning how to navigate. I do not expect anyone to be an expert in these technologies! You will learn and succeed in the course!
